Derek McGrath will take some time to decide on what to do on the future of his career.
“Dan and Eoin and all the backroom team have put a huge amount of work in. We’re just going to focus on the now for now and see what comes in the next six weeks.” he told WLR on his future plans.
He said they will discuss on a lot of things and will consider their own family situations.
“We’ll sit down with the board and sit down with the players. We’re contemplative, we’re in a situation where there is a lot at stake in terms of our own family situations.”
McGrath took a leave from his job as a secondary school teacher at De La Salle to focus on Waterford.
Deise however ended their campaign with a heartbreaking defeat against Galway in the All-Ireland.
That’s all he can say now as things are still yet to be certain for the Deise management.
“That’s not casting doubt, it’s just living in a realistic world where priorities have to be considered as well. That’s being completely straight and candid about it.”
