Monaghan have received a blow as young forward Barry McGinn will miss the rest of the season with a cruciate knee injury.
McGinn was playing with UCD’s in the Sigerson Cup in which they reached the final and were defeated by St Mary’s in an epic encounter.
He then went on to play and captain the Monaghan u21 in the Shamrock Cup against Derry.
Barry released a post on Facebook: “Gutted to learn that I’ve done my cruciate and join the dreaded acl club. Tough times ahead but I’ll be back better after it. Just want to thank people for their messages of support. They are much appreciated. #2018
