MUGSY ELIGIBLE FOR LONDON AFTER HURLING DEBUT

By Odhrán Crumley

Three time All Ireland winning forward Owen Mulligan’s late substitute appearance for Fulham Irish in their intermediate championship loss to Granauile means the Cookstown sharp shooter is now eligible to represent London in this years All Ireland and Connacht championships.

The Exiles open their Connacht Championship campaign at the re-developed Irish TV Gaelic Grounds at Ruislip. The All Star forward would be a huge boost to Ciaran Deely’s sides plans for the summer after relocating to the capital earlier this year for work commitments.

The situation mirrors that of Seanie Johnston on his bid to make himself eligible to feature for Kildare after a brief cameo in a Kildare Senior Championship hurling game.
