O’Callaghan open to return to Dublin panel

David O’Callaghan is willing to return to the Dublin senior hurling panel next season.

Dublin is currently looking for a new manager following Ger Cunningham’s resignation.

“I know it didn’t go too well for the team overall but it was great to get out there again and I felt I was starting to get up to a really good level coming up to the Tipperary game.” he said at the launch of the Applegreen Kilmacud Crokes Hurling Sevens.

O’Callaghan said no plans have been made yet but he is looking forward to go back.

“If I’m in a position where I have the appetite I suppose towards the end of the year and the want to do it, we’ll wait and see then.”

O’Callaghan had a tough season as he was sidelined with an injury. He suited up in the latter part before the Dubs lost to Tipperary in the qualifiers.
