St Mary’s defeat St Colman’s In MacRory Cup 2017

For the first time in the schools history Derry’s St Mary’s Magherafelt have won the MacRory cup, they defeated St Colman’s in the Athletic grounds.

The biggest prize in Ulster college football went to St Mary’s who will now go into the All Ireland semi final against the Leinster champions, St Peter’s from Wexford.

St Brendan’s St Brendan’s Killarney and St Colman’s Claremorris will be in the other Hogan Cup semi final.

St Mary’s led at half time-8 to 0-6. St Colman’s came strong in the second half to trail  by two points they also had a huge decision go against them with Rian O’Neill denied a certain penalty.
