Sutcliffe and Cunniffe will make their Championship Debuts for New York

It has been very usual to Gaelic Footballer and Hurler to transfer from one team to another. But we never get used to it. We get surprised as always when we learned that a certain footballer or hurler transferred to another.

Danny Sutcliffe, an ex-Dublin hurler panel last year and former defender of Mayo Tom Cunniffe joined the 30-man squad of New York lead by manager Justin O’Halloran. It’s gonna be their championship debuts for New York against Sligo for Sunday’s Connacht SFC preliminary round at Gaelic Park.

 

Succliffe who won an All Star in 2013, has been selected at wing-forward while Cunniffe who’s already a five-time winner in this competition in 2007 with Mayo slots in at corner-back.
