Westport Success Has One Bad Outcome

Westport success has one bad outcome, as they walked out of the GAA HQ, Croke Park as the All-Ireland Football Intermediate club champions.

The bad news was relating to their captain and country defender, Kevin Keane who suffered a cruciate ligament injury.

The 26 year-old Mayo man will miss the entire Allianz National League Campaign and is not likely to back in the frame for the championship.

The Westport defended has been part of the county set up since 2012, this has left a headache for the Mayo management team as they are suffering with injuries to other players and a suspended Tom Parson for the match against Roscommon.

We wish Kevin a quick recovery and hope the rehab goes well.
